Refers, among others, to Directive 2006/88/EC concerning animal health conditions for aquaculture animals and their products and concerning the prevention and control of certains diseases in aquatic animals. Defines the competent authorities, community implementing measures, general rules on products not intented for human consumption, additional rules on specific animal products, administrative measures...

Food, consumer goods and feed Code. Includes regulations regarding aquaculture as fish and other seafood products fall into the category "Nutztiere" of the law.

Rule 3 on the disposal of waste in the North and Baltic Sea area forbids to throw synthetic fishing nets and other wastes made of plastic into the sea.

On animal health requirements for aquaculture animals and products thereof, and on the prevention and control of certain diseases in aquatic animals. Refers to the CITES Convention.

Ordinance on coastal fisheries. Refers to the Lower Saxony Fishing Law, Regulations (EU) 404/2011, (EC) 1224/2009. Contains specific rules regarding mussels fishing. Sets catch restrictions, the use of fishing gears, the registration and identification of fishing vessels for coastal and deep sea fishing.

"The purpose of the Protocol is similar to that of the Convention, but the Protocol is more restrictive: application of a "precautionary approach" is included as a general obligation; a "reverse list" approach is adopted, which implies that all dumping is prohibited unless explicitly permitted; incineration of wastes at sea is prohibited; export of wastes for the purpose of dumping or incineration at sea is prohibited".

Announcements from the Danish Maritime Authority F, small commercial vessels' buildings and equipment, etc., Chapter VI, crew protection, working environment and safety, etc. Applies to some extent to fishing vessels (e.g. rule 13 on cargo and ice handling in fishing vessels, handlebar arrangements, net drums, trawl paddles, deck machinery, fish processing plants...)

On organic production and labelling of organic products and repeals Regulation (EEC) No 2092/91. Refers to the objectives and principles for organic production, production rules, labelling, controls… including for aquaculture products.

Aims ensure that fishers shall have decent conditions of work on board fishing vessels with regard to minimum requirements for work on board, conditions of service, accommodation and food, occupational safety and health protection, medical care and social security.
Amongst the many improvements, the new Convention:
- raises the minimum age for work on board a fishing vessels to 16 years;
- it fixes the maximum period of validity of a medical certificate to two years;
- it requires the adoption of laws regarding minimum levels of crewing and defines minimum periods of daily and weekly rest for vessels remaining at sea for more than three days;
- it establishes fishers’ entitlement to repatriation at the cost of the fishing vessel owner; and
- finally, it incorporates port State control provisions modelled on those applicable in the maritime sector".

Lays down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 861/2006 (now repealed) as regards the expenditure incurred by Member States in implementing the monitoring and control systems applicable to the Common Fisheries Policy. Amended by Regulations (EU) 1257/2009, (EU) 1054/2010 and (EU) 984/2012.

Establishes measures for the recovery of the stock of European eel.

Lays down technical measures for the conservation of certain stocks of highly migratory species and repeals Regulation (EC) No 973/2001. Amended by Regulation (EC) 1559/2007 and Regulation (EU) 2017/2107. Applies to Dutch, German and Danish vessels but the regulation is not particularly relevant for the North Sea. Refers to the International Convention for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas.

Concerns the use of alien and locally absent species in aquaculture. Refers to the Convention on Biological Diversity.

Lays down management, conservation and control measures applicable in the Convention area of the International Commission for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas (ICCAT). Amends Council Regulations (EC) No 1936/2001, (EC) No 1984/2003 and (EC) No 520/2007. Refers to the International Convention for the Conservation of Atlantic Tunas. Defines management, conservation and control measures concerning certains species (tropical tuna, swordfish, sharks, seabirds, sea turtles...)

Amends Regulation (EEC) No 3440/84 as regards conditions for certain trawls for vessels operating pump aboard systems

Refers to the inspection of third countries fishing vessels in Member States ports, import and export of products from fisheries, the community alert system, the identification of vessels engaged in IUU fishing, list of non cooperating countrie, measures which can be taken against vessels/countries supporting IUU fishing... Refers to the FAO International Plan of Action to Prevent, Deter and Eliminate Illegal, Unreported and Unregulated Fishing and to the Agreement for the implementation of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to the conservation and management of straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks

On the protection of vulnerable marine ecosystems in the high seas from the adverse impacts of bottom fishing gears. Refers to the Convention on Conduct of Fishing Operations in the North Atlantic, the UNCLOS and to the Agreement for the implementation of the provisions of the United Nations Convention on the Law of the Sea of 10 December 1982 relating to the conservation and management of straddling fish stocks and highly migratory fish stocks

Designates the Community Fisheries Control Agency as the body to carry out certain tasks under Regulation (EC) No 1042/2006 (repealed by Commission Implementing Regulation (EU) No 404/2011) and amends Decision 2007/166/EC adopting the list of Community fisheries inspectors and inspection means.

Lays down detailed rules for the application of Council Regulation (EC) No 199/2008 (now repealed) concerning the establishment of a Community framework for the collection, management and use of data in the fisheries sector and support for scientific advice regarding the Common Fisheries Policy. Amended by Commission Delegated Regulation (EU) 2015/1930

Establishes a framework for community action in the field of marine environmental policy. "The EU Marine Strategy Framework Directive (MSFD) was put in place to protect the marine ecosystem and biodiversity upon which our health and marine-related economic and social activities depend".

Law on the publication of information on the payment of funds from the European Fund for Agriculture and Fisheries. Implements Regulation (EU) 508/2014 on the European Maritime and Fisheries Fund. It defines which national and federal states agencies are responsible of these funds.

On the submission by Member States of statistics on aquaculture and repeals Council Regulation (EC) No 788/96. Refers to the submission of data, technical provisions, derogations, evaluation regarding aquaculture. Amended by Regulation (EU) No 1350/2013.

Ordinance on the publication of information on the payment of funds from the European Agricultural and Fisheries Funds. Refers to the Law on the publication of information on the payment of funds fron the European Fund for Agriculture and Fisheries and to the Regulation (EU) 508/2014.

Water Management Act. Refers to some extent to fisheries.

Ordinance on spatial planning in the German exclusive economic zone in the North Sea. Part 3.6 applies to fishing and mariculture.

Law on nature conservation and landscape management. §5 refers to the agriculture, forestry and fishing and establishes the principle according to which surface waters used by fishers must be preserved as well as their habitats, fauna and flora. It also mentions that, regarding fish farming, adverse effects on native animals and plant species must be limited. §14 mentions that those activites must respect the objectives of nature conservation. §39 highlights the prohibition to capture animals listed under Annex V of the Habitats Directive. Some other Articles also refers to fisheries (e.g §40e regarding to alien species...)

Establishes a Community control system for ensuring compliance with the rules of the common fisheries policy. Amends Regulations (EC) No 847/96, (EC) No 2371/2002, (EC) No 811/2004, (EC) No 768/2005, (EC) No 2115/2005, (EC) No 2166/2005, (EC) No 388/2006, (EC) No 509/2007, (EC) No 676/2007, (EC) No 1098/2007, (EC) No 1300/2008, (EC) No 1342/2008 and repeals Regulations (EEC) No 2847/93, (EC) No 1627/94 and (EC) No 1966/2006. Refers to the conditions for access to waters and resources, fishing authorizations, the vessel monitoring system, AIS... It alse refers to the control of fisheries (logbooks, landing), the control of fishing effort, recording and exchange of data, closure of fisheries, fishing capacity, use of fishing gear, surveillance, inspection, measures of enforcement...Later amended by Regulations (EU) No 1380/2013, (EU) 2015/812, (EU) 2019/1241, (EU) No 1379/2013, (EU) 2019/1241. Refers to SOLAS and MARPOL.

Executive Order on Maritime Rules. Applies to fishing vessels

Order on the landing of fish from areas with chemical warfare equipment. It covers fishing vessels that during fishing have been in contact with objects that may be assumed to be chemical war material, including gas ammunition, or to derive from it, and the same vessels' tools and catches.

Implements Council Directive 2006/88/EC as regards surveillance and eradication programmes and disease-free status of Member States, zones and compartments (notified under document number C(2008) 6264).

Amends Regulation (EC) No 889/2008 laying down detailed rules for the implementation of Council Regulation (EC) No 834/2007, as regards laying down detailed rules on organic aquaculture animal and seaweed production.

On the protection of animals at the time of killing. This Regulation " lays down rules for the killing of animals bred or kept for the production of food, wool, skin, fur or other products as well as the killing of animals for the purpose of depopulation and for related operations". However as regards fish, only the requirements laid down in Article 3(1) shall apply.
